Health Checks
ICT Care recommends regular health checks to ensure your system functions smoothly and securely. First we carry out a security review to ensure your system is secure. Next maintenance tasks are performed and the system is valeted inside and out. Finally for peace of mind, both the system and your data is backed up.
Security Review
- Determines if security vulnerabilities exist in the operating system and applications software
- Antivirus & Malware – Checks that antivirus and Malware software is installed, updating regularly and scanning on schedule
- Firewall – Verifies firewall software is installed, up-to-date and setup to monitor the correct ports
Maintenance
- Logs – Checks event logs for information on system errors, warnings and past crashes
- Updates – Installs the latest critical security software updates for the operating system and software applications
- Cleanup – Removes old temporary system files and any redundant registry hives which build up over time.
- Performance – Disk drives are scanned for fragmented files which are then de-fragmented to improve system performance
- Valet – Your PC is cleaned inside and out, thick layers of dust are hazardous to the internal components of a PC.
Backup
- Data backup – Verifies that both system and data is sufficiently backed up and configured to automatically backup, should you need to recover either in future.
