Best Practice Computing
This course is intended to give delegates an insight into the security issues, which affect business computer systems, and make them aware of the best practices they should be undertaking to minimise these risks. Delegates are taught safe storage of files/backup, releasing disk space and emptying internet clutter, computer viruses and protection, green computing and use of email.
Outlook Fundamentals and Best Practice
This course will give delegates a sound working knowledge of Outlook and offer best practice advice. Course delegates will learn to navigate the Outlook interface, compose, send, read and manage their emails. Delegates will also learn how to use the calendar, create tasks, store contacts and create notes.
Outlook Advanced and Best Practice
This course is designed to familiarise current Outlook users with advanced features of Outlook. Delegates will learn how to customise views, message settings and set delivery options. They will learn how to filter and search for items. Delegates will learn how to schedule meetings and share data with other users.
Searching the Internet
Delegates will learn to use effective search techniques to find information on the internet. Delegates will also learn how to maintain and customise their internet browser to ensure faster access. The course provides a foundation for delegates who are new to searching the internet or wish to improve their skills.
Word Fundamentals
This course is designed to give new Word users an understanding of the fundamental features of Microsoft Word. Delegates are given a working knowledge of document management, creating and editing text, adding bulleted lists, formatting and printing.
Word Intermediate
This course is designed to provide delegates with the fundamental word skills to add advanced content and formatting to word documents. Delegates will learn about mail merging, inserting graphics and information, working with tables, using borders and shading and tracking changes within a document.
Word Advanced
This course is designed to give current word users an understanding of the concepts of managing and navigating long documents. The course also covers importing and linking information from other sources, creating tables of contents and indexes, managing endnotes and footnotes, creating templates and integrating with other programmes.
Time Saving Tips in Word
Delegates will learn the skills required to use menus, styles, templates and commands to reduce the time they need to produce professional Word documents. Delegates will learn how to use Word efficiently making use of special characters, hot spots and short cuts.
Track Changes in Word
This course is designed to give users an understanding of how Track Changes works in Microsoft Word. Delegates will learn how to edit a document with track changes turned on, accept and/or reject changes made to a document, send a document for review by others and how to stop changes from showing in a document.
Excel Fundamentals
This course is designed to give delegates an understanding of the fundamental concepts of Excel. Delegates are introduced to the Excel environment and given a working knowledge of workbook management, setting up and editing worksheets, building formulas, formatting and printing.
Excel Intermediate
This course is designed for current Excel users who would like to manage the appearance and representation of data in spreadsheets more effectively. The course is for delegates who would like to work with further calculations and databases.
Excel Advanced
Delegates will learn about Lookup functions, single and bi-variable data tables, scenarios, PivotTables, sharing workbooks and tracking changes, protecting worksheet contents, basic importing and exporting of information and creating and working with basic macros.
Introduction to Macros
This course is designed for those who use Word/Excel and wish to use macros to automate repetitive tasks. The course deals with the creating and editing of macros and their activation using buttons and keyboard shortcuts. A familiarity with word/excel beyond a basic knowledge is required and preferably delegates have attended the intermediate/advanced word/excel courses.
PowerPoint Fundamentals
This course is designed to give delegates a good working knowledge of PowerPoint. The course will cover the basics of creating new slides and developing presentations.
PowerPoint Expert
This course id designed to give delegates Advanced PowerPoint skills, enabling them to produce professional, interactive, multimedia presentations.
Using Project to Create a Project
Delegates will learn how to use Microsoft Project to assist them with project planning.
Using Project to Manage Projects
Delegates will learn how to use Project to manage a project plan after the project has begun. This course provides a perfect follow on for delegates who can plan a project, but now want to learn how to manage that project.
